43 POUNDS

As many of you know I started Weight Watchers in August last year. I have been doing really well. I am very proud of myself for sticking with this. I wanted to share that I have, as of today, lost 43 pounds. 43 POUNDS!! YAHOO!! Aidan weighs 41lbs, I lost a 3 year old in weight. I went for a size 20-22 to a size 16. I am on my way to a 14. I have 10 more pounds to go to meet my goal. Once I meet my goal I will do before and after pictures.

Update...

I know, I know, I haven't posted any pictures in a while. I was sick for four days last week. Life at the Nielsen household has been busy.

On Monday, April 23rd, I took Aidan to the ENT for a hearing test. One of the steps of his speech evaluation was to get his hearing tested. We found out that Aidan only has about half of his hearing. The ENT doctor has scheduled Aidan for surgery. On May 9th, Aidan will have tubes put into his ears to release the pressure and he will also have his adenoids removed. The procedure should take about 45 minutes to an hour. He will then need to be observed for a few hours and then he can come home and recover. I will be taking the remainder of that week off.

On an Allan update, we had his Neuro appointment last Wednesday, April 25th. Can't say a whole lot but he will remain on Workers Comp for another year. The Neurologist wants to see how he heals over the next year.

As for me, I am feeling a bit better. I am just feel a tremendous about of weight on my shoulders right now. I know that God only gives you want you can handle, BUT sometimes I wonder just how much does he think I can handle.

Tomorrow is Allan's birthday, I will be posting new pictures soon of that.

My Birthday

When I got home from work yesterday I had two cards and a gift from Aidan waiting for me. Aidan made me the coffee mug below. He made the pictures on the mug and then you bake it and it lasts forever. I love it!

Last night our friends Jeanette and Brian took me out to dinner for my birthday. Dylan, Virginia, Allan and Aidan joined us. We went to La Placita, Yummy! I was stuffed. Thanks Jeanette and Brian!

I also wanted to thank Jess for my giftcard for clothes and Jeanette for my giftcard for target.

More Birthday Flowers

My friend Amy surprised me with flowers at work today. She and I also meet with Jeanette downtown and had lunch at the Tower Cafe. It was yummy! I am stuffed. We had Chocolate Mousse for desert, DELICIOUS! Thanks for taking me to lunch ladies!



When I returned from lunch I had a message on my work voicemail from Allan and Aidan. It made my day. Allan had called and had Aidan say happy birthday to me. [Thanks Al!]

Flowers for My Birthday

I got a nice surprise today at work. Chuck and Russell sent me flowers for my birthday. The flowers are in the shape of a dog, very cute! Thanks Brothers, it really brightened my day, week at that. Its been a really hard last few days.

My Birthday Celebration at Bernie and Ken's House

On Sunday, Bernie had the family over for a birthday dinner for me. Robert, Shilo, Ian, Bernie, Ken, Viriginia, Mom, Dad, Dylan, Allan and Aidan were all there to celebrate my birthday. Thank you for a nice evening!

Easter

Mom and Dad hosted Easter this year. Bernie, Ken, Grandma Virginia, Chuck, Russel, Allan, Aidan and I had a great day together. Dylan placed all the eggs all over the back yard for a egg hunt. Aidan would shake the eggs to see if they had money. The eggs were filled with stickers, coins, dollars and a little bit of candy.
