4th of July in So Cal

We made an expected trip to LA. Since Grandma Amy had passed away, her funeral was schedule for the 5th of July. So, Allan, Aidan, Dad, Dylan and I headed south on Thursday. Aidan did so well in the car. I had told him a few days prior that is was going to take 7 whole movies to get the Nana's. I also told not to ask "Are we there yet?". During the drive he would lean over and giggle "Are we there yet?" just kidding around. Well after 8 plus hours and sitting he traffic, his little voice asked "Are we there yet?" and he really meant it. We stayed in Lake Forest with my mom. Lake Forest is where my mom works Monday through Friday. It was a very nice hotel. I was nice to see her home away from home. For the 4th of July we went to my cousin Bill and Cindy's house. It was so nice to see them. It had been to long. Aidan had a blast in the pool. Bill and Cindy's new addition "Wolfie" the dog wasn't use to visitors. He was very protective of them and there house. It took a little warming up but by the end of the day he loved us all. Cindy's parents joined us for the BBQ to.

On the 5th, we headed for San Pedro. We first made a stop in Long Beach to have lunch with Russ and Jess. I was great to see both of them. After lunch we headed to Pedro. We spent the remainder of the afternoon at Jess's house playing Wii. Aidan loved it. That evening we attended the funeral. It was so nice to see everyone. Unfortunately, it takes something like this to happen to get everyone together.

On the 6th, we headed to the Children's Discovery Museum. There was a Bob the Builder exhibit. Aidan had a blast.

On the 7th, we headed back up north.
